Software Engineer - IBM - Cognos Job

We are looking forward to hire IBM - Cognos Professionals in the following areas :

Experience - 2-4 Years

Experienced professional with expertise in reporting and also Business Objects to Cognos report migration, including hands-on involvement in migration projects, report validation, and performance optimization. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager and additional exposure to Power BI would be considered a strong plus.

• Perform impact analysis, design mapping documents, and ensure successful migration of BO reports into Cognos equivalents.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate migrated reports, and resolve discrepancies.
• Use Cognos Framework Manager (basic knowledge sufficient) to make necessary adjustments in packages for supporting migrated reports.
• Experience in BO reports development, migration, and validation. Perform unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance support for migrated reports.
• Document processes, create knowledge transfer guides, and support project timelines.
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize performance of migrated reports.
• knowledge of data modelling, DAX, and visualization best practices is desirable.
• working knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager (packages, query subjects, publishing).
• Strong knowledge on Snowflake and SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in an agile project environment.
