Software Engineer - Node.Js

Overview

a leading US healthcare platform is seeking a skilled and motivated Node.js Developer with 4–6 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JavaScript, backend development, RESTful APIs, and modern web technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build high-performance scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure cloud native applications using Node.Js.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement business logic, database schemas, and data processing solutions.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  
  

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.Js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and API integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization is an advantage.
  
  

• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Knowledge of TypeScript.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to performance tuning and application monitoring tools.
  
  

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
