Software Engineer - React Native

As a Software Engineer at PropertyGuru, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our business objectives and delight our users. Your commitment to best practices and collaborative approach will drive the success of our projects and contribute to the overall improvement of our development processes.

As a Guru You Will Be Accountable For

• Develop software applications that meet requirement specifications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Perform thorough code reviews and unit testing to maintain code quality and adherence to best development practices.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and squads, including developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of existing core services and integration of new services.
  
  

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has proven experience in developing React Native applications with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centric, high-quality mobile apps.
• Is proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native, and related frontend frameworks, with a deep understanding of mobile development best practices.
• Has strong knowledge of frontend development principles, UI/UX best practices, and performance optimisation for mobile apps.
• Demonstrates commitment to maintaining high code quality through code reviews, testing, and following best practices.
• Brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex frontend issues.
• Passion for continuous learning and improvement, staying updated with industry trends and best practices in software development.
  
  

Our tech stack centers around the JavaScript ecosystem, using Node.js and NestJS for the backend, React with JavaScript/TypeScript for the frontend, and Next.js for full-stack applications. We also work with GraphQL, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Tailwind, Chakra UI, Jest, Playwright, and Redis.
