The Opportunity:

As a ServiceNow Senior Software Engineer, you will lead, design, develop, configure, and customize (when necessary) ServiceNow applications and services. You will deliver new functionality across applications, support the entire development lifecycle and assist the platform support with product related incident resolution.

This role positions you as a ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert, steering the creation and implementation of automation solutions to optimize Takeda’s IT Service Management processes. With specific emphasis on the ServiceNow SecOps and GRC modules:, you will ensure seamless functionality, enhanced operational efficiency, and a user-friendly experience. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Service Catalog items and workflows within Takeda’s ServiceNow platform, leveraging your technical expertise in ServiceNow development practices and a deep understanding of IT Service Management and business process automation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the developer team, ensuring alignment with our goals and organizational standards.
• Mentor and coach team members, including junior developers and external partners, to build technical expertise and improve development quality.
• Review team deliverables, prioritize tasks, resolve challenges, and foster collaboration in an Agile environment.
• Provide training and technical guidance on ServiceNow:Integrated Risk Management and AI Governance: best practices and emerging technologies.
• Design and implement scalable solutions focused on the ServiceNow:Integrated Risk Management and AI Governance: capabilities.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into efficient technical designs.
• Develop ServiceNow:Integrated Risk Management and AI Governance: items, workflows, and customizations using Generic Workflow, Flow Designer, scripting, APIs, etc.
• Build data integrations with third-party systems to improve workflow automation and process efficiency.
• Enhance user experience and implement automation to optimize service delivery.
• Maintain and update Service Catalog offerings to ensure scalability and usability.
• Prepare detailed documentation on configurations, workflows, and processes.
• Generate reports and dashboards to monitor development service performance.
• Present product demos and technical showcases for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, Takeda-defined standards, and Agile development schedules.
• Leverage Takeda’s SDLC toolset for efficient development and deployment.
• Drive innovation and optimize Service Catalog functionality to meet evolving business needs.
• Stay updated on ServiceNow advancements, incorporating new features into solutions.
  
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Information technology; or relevant work experience.
• 6+ years of experience in architecting, designing and developing ServiceNow solutions (especially, Integrated Risk Management and SecOps:modules).
• 3+ experience with ServiceNow Service Catalog module is a must.
• Strong understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance and Security Operations:processes.
• Strong expertise with ServiceNow platform development, especially Service Catalog, Flow Designer, and scripting languages.
• Proficient in creating Server-side and Client-side scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions.
• ServiceNow System Administrator certification (required).
• ServiceNow Application Developer certification (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English (both written and oral).
