Software Engineer - Windows Engineering

We are looking for a Systems Engineer proficient in Windows Technologies to join our Site Reliability Engineering Team in Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Gurugram. This is a hands-on technical role within a cross-functional team responsible for contributing to infrastructure engineering projects and maintaining and improving the firm's technology platforms. WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

In this role, you’ll work on designing, implementing, and managing the firm’s Windows Infrastructure in collaboration with other IT Infrastructure teams. You’ll be involved in engineering project work and tier 2/3 operational support to increase the overall supportability and reliability of the firm’s enterprise technology environment. Additional responsibilities will include upgrading and/or re-designing existing infrastructure for improved performance and stability.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• The candidate should have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering or other technical disciplines, and more than five years of work experience in the Windows domain is required.
• The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Windows fundamentals and extensive experience with one or more of the following technologies – Active Directory, SCCM, SCOM, Hyper-V, VMware, Failover Clustering, Exchange, SQL Server, etc.
• Candidate should have good proficiency in PowerShell and experience with modern configuration management and development tools (e.g. git, continuous integration systems) is required. Experience with .NET development and/or Python would be an added advantage.
• The candidate should have experience in Handling L2/L3 escalations from Helpdesk/NOC and proactively identifying and fixing issues in production environment.
• Candidate should have previous experience with the design and end-to-end implementation of performant, reliable and secure systems, and troubleshooting capabilities and experience with diagnostic/tracing tools. We work in a highly collaborative environment and experience on Linux or Storage systems would be desirable.
• The ideal candidate should also have willingness to learn and be a self-starter. Prior experience of technical leadership or managing small teams would be added advantage.
