About the Role

As an Automation Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain the automation test script using JavaScript & validate the regression run in each release cycle, this role involves liaising with Quants and Business teams at early stage to plan and prepare the correct coverage of tests to validate new developments for the Sky platform (ANZ in-house risk and pricing engine.)

What will your day look like?

As an Automation tester, you will:
Create, maintain, and execute automated test cases using JavaScript frameworks and tools.

Test web applications for functionality, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.

Design automation frameworks for efficient testing processes

Collaborate with developers to ensure code quality and proper integration of tests.

Debug test failures and provide detailed reports on defects and issues.

Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines to maintain build stability.

Monitor and improve test coverage and automation efficiency.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

5-8 years of extensive experience of working on JavaScript and related frameworks (e.g., Node.js).

5-8 years of hands-on experience with automation framework and libraries such as Selenium, Gauge, cucumber.

Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS.

2-3 years of relevant experience on API testing.

Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Must have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or TeamCity.

Prior experience of working on any performance testing framework tool like JMeter will be added advantage.

Nice to have working knowledge of Python.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Knowledge of derivatives or capital market domain will be added advantage.
