As part of our Desktop Experiences team, we’re seeking a skilled and driven Front-End Software Engineer to design and develop web-based next-generation software solutions. You will contribute to building intuitive user interfaces, crafting reliable and efficient code, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to redefine how users interact with technology.

Your Contribution

As a Front-End Software Engineer, your impact will include:

• Feature Development: Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to build and enhance user-facing features using modern web technologies like JavaScript, React, Redux, and the Electron framework.
• Maintainable Codebase: Develop highly efficient, reusable front-end components, tools, and libraries for complex web applications.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure responsive designs and optimize components for high performance across multiple browsers and devices.
• UI Framework: Shape and extend our UI frameworks to deliver exceptional applications that work seamlessly with real-time data.
• Problem Solving: Solve challenging problems creatively while maintaining the highest standards for software quality and usability.
• Scalable Solutions: Design front-end architectures that uphold scalability and maintainability in fast-paced development cycles.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented front-end code.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Work with REST APIs and manage data flows using JSON to ensure robust front-end/backend integration.
• Contribute to the development of cross-platform applications with Electron.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging front-end technologies and integrate new tools or frameworks when necessary.
  
  

Your Skills & Background

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a strong understanding of front-end design principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks like React.js and state management tools like Redux.
• Proven track record of designing and building high-quality front-end software for web or desktop applications.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience interfacing with RESTful APIs and working with JSON data formats.
• Familiarity with common front-end build tools, such as Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: B.E in Computer Science/IT or a related technical field or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with Electron framework for cross-platform desktop application development.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress) for ensuring code stability and quality.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and experience collaborating closely with Product Designers.
• Ability to write clean and secure code adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
• Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong interpersonal skills.
