Responsibilities
ServiceNow Frontend & Experience:
- Experience developing scalable, responsive, and dynamic interfaces within the ServiceNow Service Portal.
- Familiarity with modern frontend tools and frameworks relevant to ServiceNow, such as AngularJS, HTML5, SASS/CSS, and Service Portal widgets.
- Strong ability to collaborate with UX specialists to translate user patterns into intuitive ITSM dashboards and forms.
- Experience developing robust backend logic using Server-side JavaScript, GlideRecord, and Script Includes.
- Deep understanding of the ServiceNow Core Platform architecture and ITSM module (Incident, Problem, Change, Request).
- Expertise in configuring Business Rules, ACLs, UI Actions, and Flow Designer to automate complex workflows.
- Ability to evaluate existing solutions to identify reuse opportunities and ensure maintainability.
- Experience with Python, Ai foundations
- Experience building custom integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and ServiceNow Integration Hub.
- Proficiency in Python for external automation scripting, data manipulation, and building middleware connectors for enterprise integrations.
- Familiarity with data handling, import sets, and transform maps to connect ServiceNow with external enterprise tools.
- Ability to identify tasks that could be automated to improve system velocity and reliability.
- Experience with Now Assist (ServiceNow GenAI), specifically using Now Assist for Creator to accelerate script generation, flow creation, and debugging.
- Ability to configure Now Assist capabilities for ITSM (e.g., incident summarization, resolution note generation).
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development environments to improve code quality and speed.
- Technical Craft: Spend 90% of time on technical contributions. Write robust, efficient, testable code and provide constructive code feedback to peers.
- Execution Excellence: Take ownership of features from start to finish (development, deployment, monitoring). Estimate defined features and adapt plans to changing team deliverables.
- Customer Outcomes: Proactively identify patterns in how users experience the product by analyzing usage data and support trends. Connect technical decisions to tangible business value.
- Accelerate Teams: Build foundational collaboration by actively participating in team rituals. Drive independent research on solutions and verify findings with team members to ensure shared understanding.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and software engineering.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
- Foundational understanding of Agile development, object-oriented design, and programming principles.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES5/ES6) and Python.
- Deep technical knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request).
- Experience with Now Assist or similar GenAI tools for coding and automation.
- Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new priorities, tools, and technologies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
- Demonstrates awareness of ethical considerations, bias, and limitations of AI tools, applying them responsibly.
- Can effectively review and validate AI-generated outputs to ensure correctness and maintain software quality standards.
