customers and to do so is responsible for digital delivery, group data and analytics, technology, and technology infrastructure, cyber, fraud, physical security and business resilience for all divisions across CBA. It is also dedicated to delivering the best workplace technology experience for our over 53,000 people across CBA and focused on providing the latest tools, technology, and resources to enhance the way we work together and empower our people to achieve more for our customers.
As a Software Engineer in our Automation and Optimisation team, part of the broader Identity Engineering function, you will report to the COE Lead and contribute to the development of automation solutions, product features, and platform enhancements. You’ll be involved throughout the software engineering lifecycle, working hands-on with technologies such as SailPoint, CyberArk, and PingID to ensure secure, high-performing, and reliable identity services. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help design and implement scalable solutions that support our strategic goals, while continuously improving the performance and resilience of our platforms.
Role responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology

Role responsibilities:
- Develop and test high-quality software for business banking applications.
- Perform design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
- Update documentation based on product updates and feedback.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues impacting operations.
- Utilize emerging AI-assisted tools.
- Constantly think creatively and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems
- Work with various application teams to ensure the stability and security of the cloud platform.
- Have a great understanding of software delivery practices and lifecycles in Agile methodologies
- 4-8 Years of IT experience
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining robust software.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming languages like python, Java, .Net, TypeScript or C#.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and Postman.
- Daily use and interest in AI tools like GitHub CoPilot, Cline Cursor.
- Experience in API development and microservices architecture.
- Experience with agile methodologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with containerization tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile work management tools like Jira and Confluence.
