Software Engineer

Overview

Role
You'll work as an IC on our backend team, building Django applications with AI/ML capabilities — integrating LLMs, implementing NLP solutions, and enabling intelligent data processing.

Team
Reports to Tech Lead / Project Manager. Works alongside frontend developers and collaborates with stakeholders on B2B client projects.

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain Django applications and REST APIs
2. Integrate LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into applications
3. Implement NLP pipelines for text processing and analysis
4. Build intelligent data querying solutions using PandasAI or similar
5. Design prompt engineering strategies and manage LLM workflows
6. Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
7. Optimize AI feature performance and cost efficiency
8. Participate in code reviews
9. Collaborate with frontend team on API design

Required Skills

1. 5 years of professional Django experience
2. Strong Django REST Framework (DRF) proficiency
3. Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
4. NLP fundamentals (text processing, embeddings, semantic search)
5. Python data libraries (Pandas, NumPy)
6. PostgreSQL database design
7. Git version control
8. Unit testing with pytest

Good to Have

1. LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks
2. PandasAI for natural language data queries
3. Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)
4. RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) implementations
5. Fine-tuning or training ML models
6. Hugging Face Transformers
7. AWS services (S3, Lambda, Bedrock)
8. Docker and containerization
