Software Engineer

Overview

About the Role: At BaseCraft, we don't believe in "That's not my job." We are a high-performance squad building products for US and Indian startups. We are looking for a problem solver who cares more about shipping features than arguing about which framework is trendy. You will work directly with the Founder to build end-to-end solutions.

What You Will Do:

End-to-End Ownership: You might spend Monday designing a database schema (SQL) and Tuesday building the React components that display that data.

Glue Code: Write scripts and tools that connect different services (APIs, webhooks, 3rd party integrations).

Debugging: You will be the "First Responder" when something breaks—tracing the error from the UI down to the database.

Learn on the Fly: We don't expect you to know everything, but we expect you to figure it out fast (with our mentorship).

The "Must Haves":

Fluency in ONE major language: (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java). If you know one well, you can learn the others.

Web Fundamentals: You understand how the web works (HTTP, REST, JSON, DOM, Cookies).

Database Basics: You can write a SELECT query without an ORM if you have to.

Who You Are:

You describe yourself as a "Builder" rather than just a "Frontend" or "Backend" dev.

You are not afraid of the command line.
