The Collections Team powers how developers and organizations build quality software faster — with Postman Collections at the heart of it. Collections help organize API requests and define reusable, testable, and well-documented structures. And we don’t stop there — we enable seamless collaboration with features like mock servers, version control and documentation.
Our services are mission-critical, processing 10K QPS and storing billions of requests across millions of Collections. We recently overcame massive storage bottlenecks — read our blog for details.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled software engineer with backend expertise and a product-oriented mindset to take us to the next level. This role involves working on high-scale systems, building integrated products and constantly raising the bar for the team. If you have a bias for action, love solving complex problems and creating delightful user experiences, this role is for you.

What You'll Do
- Develop and test product modules end-to-end.
- Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
- Participate and (or) lead design reviews with your peer group and design review groups.
- Lead technical initiatives to solve ambiguous problems keeping customers in mind.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team—including Developers, Product Managers, Designers — to develop and enhance products
- Quickly build functional prototypes to solve internal and external use-cases.
- Mentor early-career engineers to bring out the best in them and help them succeed at Postman.
- 3 - 4 years of experience developing complex, scalable software applications
- Write and deliver clean, maintainable code of excellent quality.
- Proficient in one or more of the following: Node.js, React.js, C, C++, Python, or Java.
- Strong fundamentals in data modelling, problem solving, software designing.
- You have a product-oriented mindset and empathy for the users.
- Alignment with our Values.
- Strong fundamentals in databases, operating systems.
- Proficient with Javascript.
- Strong understanding of web fundamentals.
- Past experience working on API platforms and developer tools.
- Experience and Excitement towards working with global, distributed teams.
- You enjoy learning and sharing knowledge within and across teams.
- An innate curiosity about how things work.
