Software Engineer (Django + Voice AI)

Overview

The Role

Build and scale the core platform powering voice conversations. Work on conversation engine, integration layer, dashboards, and voice AI orchestration.

What You'll Build

• Conversation Engine: Module-based AI system with dynamic flow execution
• Voice AI Integration: Connect voice APIs (ElevenLabs, Deepgram, Twilio), handle real-time conversations
• Backend APIs: Django REST APIs for agent configuration, scheduling, data management
• Integrations: Calendar APIs, EMR/EHR systems, SMS/email services
• Admin Dashboard: Provider portal for agent setup and analytics
• Data Pipeline: Call logs, patient data, performance metrics

Tech Stack

• Backend: Django, Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL
• Voice AI: Twilio Voice, WebSocket connections, STT/TTS APIs
• Infrastructure: AWS/GCP, Redis, Celery for async tasks
• Frontend: React (basic familiarity needed for API integration)

Requirements

Must Have:

• 1+ years Django development experience
• Strong Python and REST API design skills
• Experience with real-time systems or telephony APIs
• Database design and optimization (PostgreSQL)
• Git, Linux, deployment basics

Good to Have:

• Voice AI/conversational AI experience
• Healthcare/HIPAA-compliant systems knowledge
• Twilio, WebRTC, or telephony experience
• Experience with async task queues (Celery)
• React or frontend basics

You Are

• Comfortable building features end-to-end
• Quick learner who can work with new APIs/services
• Detail-oriented about code quality and system reliability
• Independent executor who asks questions when stuck
