Software Engineer I, Platform Architecture

Looking to the future, Smart Data Solutions has ambitious growth plans for the next few years and is currently seeking a Software Engineer I, Platform Architecture to join our growing team.

What you’ll be doing?

Job Accountabilities

• Work with Platform Architecture Manager to devise platform augmentation and refactoring plans for SDS architectural components to increase performance, efficiency, and scalability.
• Execute assigned development and configuration projects with on-time completion
• Test platform changes thoroughly using techniques such as load simulation, test environments, production pilots, and audit modes.
• Follow SDS best practices and standards for design, coding, and security
• Identify other opportunities for architectural improvement including but not limited to new technologies, better methods, and innovative approaches.
• Engage with customers and colleagues in written and spoken communication as needed to support desired goals and outcomes.
• Create and modify technical documentation for SDS architectural components, following SDS best practice.
• Assist with other duties as assigned

• Deep and broad experience and understanding of foundational systems composing the SDS automation platform.
• Java programming

Requirements

• 1+ years of programming and implementation at SDS.
• 2+ years of experience in CS/engineering-related field
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science-related field
