Software Engineer II

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineers who will architect highly-performant, reliable applications used by hundreds of external customers every day. You will work on projects that span technologies, systems, and processes where you will design, test, and ship great code every day. In this cross-functional role, you will collaborate with experts in infrastructure, design, and operations to build mission-critical internal and external features that power Freight Tiger to its users. We have a high bar for quality & efficiency - you will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Business Operations teams to build for scale and create solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the development and testing of product initiatives and feature development.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• B.E. in Computer Science / MCA. 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Programming experience in Java and Javascript languages (Node JS). PHP experience is a plus.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc., is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and bug tracking system (Jira). CI/CD (argo) is a plus.
• Familiarity with async workflows and messaging queues such as RabbitMq, Kafka etc. and familiarity with monitoring tools (grafana alerts) and APM (newrelic) is a plus.
• Familiarity with the AWS cloud platform is a plus.
• Must be open to experimenting with new technologies & enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
