We want people who are passionate about simplifying application developer workflows at DigitalOcean.As an engineer on the DigitalOcean App Platform team, you will be responsible for continuing to grow the App Platform product. Your work will enable developers across the world to focus on building business value while we manage their infrastructure. We are looking for an engineer passionate about serving our customers to work on our support and operations workstream. In this role your focus will be fixing the root cause of issues reported by our users, partnering closely with our support team and maintaining product operations which includes writing playbooks and observability improvements.

What You’ll Do

• Driving resolution of root cause issues reported by our support team
• Partnering closely with support on serving our customers
• Creating playbooks for engineering and support to ensure smooth operations
• Improving the platform observability and operations
• Contribute operational reliability as a member of the product on-call rotation.
• Technologies we use: Linux, Kubernetes, Go, gRPC, MySQL, Istio, Prometheus, Cloud Native Buildpacks.
  
  

As a Software Engineer on the Application Platform team, the software you write will power applications for over a million users around the globe. You will define the next generation of cloud services, making developers' lives (both inside DO and in the 'wild') easier by building new services that improve our efficiency and also provide important new features for our customers. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance.
