As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Technology team, you will be part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering software components for the firm's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a developing member of the software engineering team, you will implement software solutions by designing, developing, and troubleshooting various components within technical products, applications, or systems, while acquiring the skills and experience necessary for career growth in your role
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Develops, Tests, and debugs automated software deliverables for Applications, Systems, and or Infrastructures
- Troubleshoots minor incidents, contributes to blameless post-mortems
- Engages within the SRE team throughout the software development and participates in major code contributions.

- NoSQL Cassandra DB (Analyzes, designs, engineers, installs, configures and supports Database Management systems (distributed, midrange, mainframe) in support of business technology requirements; Includes an in depth knowledge of a core database technology and its internals plus knowledge of development practices and automated solutions with focus on customer self-service through API enablement, provisioning, resiliency and database performance Provide Production support with ITIL Process
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Strong NoSQL experience on Cassandra
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
