As an iOS Developer Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will be part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering software components for the firm's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. In your role as an emerging member of the software engineering team, you will be responsible for executing software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of various components within a technical product, application, or system, while acquiring the skills and experience necessary for career growth.
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
- Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
- Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Hands on experience on iOS application.
- Extensive experience of using common frameworks: UIKit, expert in common Cocoa design patterns, experience of developing for iOS with Swift.
- Experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, and other iOS frameworks.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Familiarity with several languages: Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, Java, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, Python
- Familiarity with Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, and dependency management
- Experience consuming RESTful web services.
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to clarify application requirements via phone/email with business partners in addition to relying on technical requirements documentation
