What you'll do...

About Team:

Marketplace Engineering team is at the forefront ofbuilding core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and withbest in classpost-order experienceby enabling third-party sellers to list, sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com. We do this by managing the entire seller lifecycle, monitoring customer experience, and delivering high-value insights to our sellers to help them plan their assortment, price, inventory. The team also actively collaborateswith partner platform teams to ensure we continue to deliver thebest experience to our sellers and our customers.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others. Supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer, business needs and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
• Create software design and architecture for next software solution. This will be your channel to communicate your ideas with rest of the team. Not just one but evaluate multiple solutions
• Analyze competing requirements and articulate tradeoffs and lead discussions with business and development team, leading white board sessions with team.
• Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs. Developing and communicating business plans and priorities, removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance. Demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
• Creates training documentation. Oversees the tasks of less experienced programmers and stipulates system troubleshooting supports.
• Participates in a 12/7 on-call rotation and act as the initial responder for any issues with the production applications/services

• Your experience in computing platforms(e.g., GCP, Azure)
• Experience building and deploying APIs and applications.
• Backend: Java/J2EE or Python, Kafka, Webhooks, OAuth
• Knowledge of Cloud (GCP/Azure)
• DS and Algorithm basics
• CI/CD
• RDBMS, No SQL
• Microservices: Spring Boot / REST
• Hadoop Bigdata
• SQL Datawarehousing
• Frontend
• UI: React.js, Redux Saga, Graph QL
• Microservices: Kubernetes / Docker
• Cypress Automation
• CI/CD
• Able to break down a product goal into dev deliverables
• Approaches risks head-on with options to mitigate
• Ability to lead our technical relationship with partners and mentors a team of developers

Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
