As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking technology team, you will be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute creative software solutions using modern technology stack in the cloud.
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to drive outcome-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services capabilities and how to implement them.
- Proficiency in Python or Java, with flexibility to work in both languages.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.). Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Proven track record in developing and sustaining large-scale, complex applications that directly engage with customers.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management and compliance processes.
- Hands-on experience in transitioning applications from on-premises or private cloud environments to public cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
- Proficiency in assessing, choosing, or creating tools, as well as establishing processes for production observability, monitoring, and validation.
