About The Role
We are looking for a proactive Software Engineer focused on debugging and maintaining production systems. This role is critical to ensuring application reliability, resolving real-time issues, and building internal tools that improve developer workflows and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, thrive in on-call environments, and enjoy tackling complex backend challenges.

About The Role
We are looking for a proactive Software Engineer focused on debugging and maintaining production systems. This role is critical to ensuring application reliability, resolving real-time issues, and building internal tools that improve developer workflows and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, thrive in on-call environments, and enjoy tackling complex backend challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production systems and respond swiftly to alerts during on-call rotations.
- Investigate and resolve issues in backend services, APIs, and workflows.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders during incidents, ensuring timely updates and resolution.
- Design and build internal tools from scratch for diagnostics, remediation, and automation.
- Author clear and actionable incident postmortems to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in on-call rotations (e.g., weekly/bi-weekly), with readiness to handle high-priority issues.
- 2+ years of backend engineering experience (Python, Java, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills in live production environments, particularly with APIs and services.
- Familiarity with observability and debugging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Proficiency in Linux and command-line debugging; comfortable with scripting.
- Experience working with CI/CD workflows and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to remain composed and effective during critical production incidents.
- Strong communication skills, ownership mindset, and accountability.
- Prior experience in 24/7 production support or on-call rotations.
- Experience with incident and alerting tools (PagerDuty, Opsgenie, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to reduce alert fatigue and improve monitoring effectiveness.
- Passion for building automation to simplify operational tasks.
