The Digital Success Engineering team aims to enhance customer enablement through a unified digital platform. As demand for Agentforce and AI solutions grows, we are seeking a skilled Salesforce Software Engineer (SMTS) to join our core development team.
This key role focuses on integrating digital properties and advanced AI technologies, enhancing our platform with expert-led learning and certification. You will also improve search capabilities using Data Cloud.
Candidates need expertise in Salesforce development and knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Your work will accelerate the implementation of our unified platform and streamline our development processes.
In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Application Architects, Data Scientists, and Deep Learning Researchers to understand customer needs, design prototypes, and implement innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Platform and Integration Engineering:
- Design, develop, and maintain a unified platform that seamlessly integrates digital properties and various customer enablement methods.
- Build robust integrations using MuleSoft to connect Salesforce with a range of internal and external systems.
- Utilize Data Cloud to create advanced analytics and data-driven features, enhancing platform insights and search capabilities.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and highly available services on the Salesforce platform.
- Design, implement, and optimize robust APIs and related features that perform efficiently and scale effectively in a multi-tenant environment.
- Develop generic, customer-facing objects that promote ease of use and customization.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to identify and implement AI-driven solutions.
- Stay updated on LLM research and emerging technologies to recommend and incorporate advancements into Salesforce's AI strategy.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real time and ensure services remain operational and highly available.
- AI and Agentforce Development:
- Implementation of AI-powered features and autonomous agents using Salesforce Agentforce.
- Design and apply advanced Generative AI and LLM techniques, including prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to create intelligent, automated workflows.
- Utilize NLP frameworks to develop sophisticated search and conversational AI experiences for our users.
- Collaborate with data scientists and other engineers to transition AI prototypes into production-ready solutions.
- Technical Leadership and Execution:
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of high-quality engineering.
- Translate business needs from Digital Success workstreams into technical requirements and actionable development plans.
- Ensure the implementation of a consistent and scalable architecture across the unified platform.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex issues and maintain system reliability.
- Ability to translate business needs into AI solutions and communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.
- Experience in a fast-paced technical environment with changing priorities and executing with geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to develop and ship products in quick increments across multiple versions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of industry experience in software engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level platform and integration development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce core technologies, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder).
- Demonstrated experience with MuleSoft for building and managing integrations.
- Proven knowledge and practical experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and Tableau.
- Solid understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and NLP frameworks, with a proven ability to apply these technologies to business problems.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Salesforce Core Platform and Agentforce development.
- Prior experience in the learning technology or customer enablement space.
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or II certifications.
