What you'll do
In your new role, you’ll engineer and maintain innovative, customer centric, high performance, secure and robust solutions. You’ll be managing the environment and software and performing Life Cycle Management. You'll be developing new services and maintain existing services using common software like BPMN modelers and software like Eclipse.
You’ll also be:
- Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business
- Supporting Release Management on installations including release weekends
- Analyzing and resolving of specific technical issues like performance, stability and project support
- Documenting system landscape and processes while improving and automating processes where applicable
- Working across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations
The skills you'll need
You’ll need a background in software engineering, software design, architecture, and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers. You'll need at least ten years of experience working with Unix environments like RedHat 7 or 8. You'll need experience in Java, Nodejs and Web services like SOAP or REST.
You'll also need experience in databases like Oracle, SQL and JDBC with strong experience in BPMN modelling.
You’ll also need:
- Experience of working with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools and wikis
- Experience in XML or UXML with knowledge of network and firewall principals
- Experience working with third party suppliers and providers
- A background in solving highly complex, analytical and numerical problems
- Experience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance
