QA Engineer - E-commerce Technology (Remote - India)

Position Summary

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our client's technology team on a full-time basis. This fully remote role requires e-commerce domain knowledge and hands-on testing expertise to execute quality assurance processes across complex technology solutions. You will be responsible for implementing testing procedures and collaborating with a distributed QA team while working closely with Pacific timezone stakeholders.

Key Functions/ResponsibilitiesTest Execution and Implementation

• Execute comprehensive testing cycles using Agile methodologies, from test case development through defect reporting
• Implement testing procedures for e-commerce solutions including EDI integrations
• Develop detailed test cases based on business requirements and acceptance criteria
• Execute manual and automated test scenarios across multiple platforms
• Document and track defects through resolution

Technical Testing

• Execute testing procedures for Shopify, Contentful, Netsuite, and AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with development teams to validate functionality using Agile frameworks
• Perform technical testing of EDI transactions and third-party integrations
• Maintain working knowledge of e-commerce technology landscape and testing practices
• Support existing test automation frameworks and contribute to expansion efforts

Team Collaboration

• Work within remote QA teams to achieve quality objectives
• Contribute to collaborative environment focused on testing excellence
• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and team learning initiatives
• Communicate effectively with QA, development, and business stakeholders
• Attend regular team meetings and provide status updates across distributed teams

Integration and Compliance Testing

• Validate e-commerce solutions meet data accuracy and integration requirements
• Execute testing procedures for Jitterbit integrations
• Work with development teams to verify Heap analytics and Cord segmentation accuracy
• Test wholesale and retail commerce workflows

Documentation and Reporting

• Support Product and Engineering teams by providing detailed test results and feedback
• Create detailed test reports and defect documentation
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for testing procedures
• Build working relationships with Pacific timezone stakeholders

Quality Metrics and Performance

• Track and report on testing coverage and defect metrics
• Monitor personal performance metrics and delivery objectives
• Contribute to quality KPIs across the e-commerce technology ecosystem
• Support continuous improvement processes based on quality data

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of QA experience with focus in e-commerce, wholesale, or retail technology
• Experience with e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify, and ERP systems like Netsuite
• Experience with Custom Software testing
• Strong background in both manual and automated testing methodologies
• Experience with AWS infrastructure testing and cloud environments
• Working knowledge of Agile development and testing methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English communication abilities
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities
• Experience working in remote team environments
• Experience working with Pacific timezone teams preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Agile Testing certification or related certifications
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Experience working in distributed QA teams
• Wholesale/retail commerce domain knowledge
• Advanced degree in related field

Pay: ₹435,309.35 - ₹1,607,757.22 per year
