We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to lead the verification and validation of HDL (VHDL/Verilog/System Verilog) and Embedded C software used in both satellite flight and ground systems. This role ensures that mission critical systems meet space, safety, reliability, and realtime performance requirements through rigorous test and validation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks for HDL and embedded software components.
- Perform verification and validation using simulation, testbenches, Hardware in Loop (HIL), and Software in Loop (SIL) environments.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams throughout the entire product lifecycle from requirements definition and design integration to verification, validation, and anomaly resolution.
- Ensure adherence to Space Quality Assurance Standards, maintaining traceability and documentation.
- Analyze, report, and track issues, anomalies, and non-conformances to closure with relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA procedures, automation tools, and verification methodologies.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software or FPGA verification and validation.
- Hands-on experience with VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, and Embedded C.
- Proficiency with test automation tools, simulation environments, version control (Git), and defect tracking systems.
- Understanding of HIL/SIL frameworks and embedded realtime testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Space standards NASA / EESA or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
- Good understanding of FPGA/ASIC design flows, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (SPI, CAN, UART, etc.).
- Experience with continuous integration pipelines and test automation scripting (Python, TCL, or similar).
- Excellent documentation, teamwork, and communication skills.
