Software Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning: Create, document, and manage test cases and test plans with precision, ensuring timely delivery aligned to weekly schedules.
• Validation Testing: Execute thorough validation testing of Edge Applications based on GE Vernova wind controls test and release plans.
• Documentation: Develop detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases to guarantee complete coverage.
• Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing, documenting failures with accuracy and clarity.
• Defect Analysis: Investigate defects, identify root causes, and provide actionable insights to improve product performance.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve issues effectively to safeguard product quality and reliability.
• Collaboration: Partner with the software testing team to assess problems, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions.
• Regression Testing: Conduct thorough regression testing following bug fixes to ensure system stability.

Work Experience

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience in Automation Testing (Web/API)
• Experience with Selenium / PyTest / Robot Framework (any relevant tool)
• Solid experience with Docker (creating images, Dockerfiles, docker-compose)
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Understanding of Linux/Unix environments
• Good experience around 5+ years in Testing field.
