We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a candidate with a strong passion for data and a commitment to quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data pipelines, data warehouses, and associated applications. This will involve rigorous database, DWH, and ETL testing, alongside the development and maintenance of our Test Automation frameworks.

• Ability to translate requirements to functional test cases, execute tests and create data needed for testing without assistance.
  
  

• Strong skills in debugging, looking at logs, isolate problem scenarios and communicating more precise information to developers.
  
  

• Perform thorough testing of Batch/ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation logic, and loading into the data warehouse.
  
  

• Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation, data integrity checks, and back-end testing.
  
  

• Build automation tools and test automation frameworks from scratch.
  
  

• Collaborate with software engineers to comprehend application design and specifications, subsequently creating detailed test automation suites based on application functions.
  
  

• Design and develop test automation frameworks for both web-based user interfaces and backend batch processes.
  
  

• Build automation tools and test automation frameworks from scratch.
  
  

• Design and build automation tools for test data generation, data analysis, pattern recognition and monitoring.
  
  

• Work with the team in identification of opportunities for automated test executions and drive adoption of automated testing and tools thru the product/project lifecycle.
  
  

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization.
  
  

• Support agile activities: sprint planning, stand ups, sprint review and sprint retrospective.
  
  

• Must be self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced agile delivery model.
  
  

• Productively work with teams in multiple geographical locations and time zones
  
  

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or other Engineering discipline with 2+ years or more of demonstrated experience in application analysis/design, testing, test automation, business system analysis and quality assurance.



Preferred Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience in database, data warehouse (DWH), and ETL testing.

Proficient in designing and executing end-to-end functional test cases.

Strong SQL skills, adept with RDBMS and NoSQL, including writing complex queries for data validation and analysis.

Experienced in batch testing within data‑warehousing environments.

Skilled in test data design, including creating tools and scripts to generate/manufacture test data.

Build and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Protractor, and SoapUI.

Keen interest in emerging automation technologies, with a track record of translating new concepts into practical solutions.

Having knowledge in Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) is a plus.

Strong interest in new automation technology and trends with the ability to relate concepts to practical application.

Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.

Experience working with Performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.

Knowledge of Prompt Engineering and OpenAI's GPT is a plus.

Ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs.

Candidate must be able to proficiently multi-task and should be able to work with teams across multiple geographies.

Strong teamwork focus and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).

A solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, or SSIS), and database testing methodologies.

Knowledge in ORMB is plus

Basic understanding or hands-on experience in Unix commands, writing shell scripts

Experience with at least one programming or scripting language for automation, such as Python or Java.

Very proficient in test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or Pytest.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
