Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Playwright for automation, working knowledge of JMeter for performance testing, and exposure to leveraging AI tools in software testing workflows. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases using Playwright.

● Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

● Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation.

● Use JMeter to perform load and performance testing on APIs and web applications.

● Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test coverage gaps and suggest improvements.

● Investigate test failures, log defects, and track them to closure.

● Contribute to test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.

● Explore and apply AI-powered testing tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness

Required Skills and Qualifications:

● 1–3 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).

● Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript or JavaScript preferred).

● Experience in manual testing for web and API-based applications.

● Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter.

● Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and agile methodologies.

● Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

● Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Exposure to programming/scripting languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.

● Experience with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman).

● Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker).

● ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
