Software Tester - Automation*

Core Technical Skills

Automation Tools:

Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java, Python, or C#).

Familiarity with TestNG or JUnit for test management.

Basic exposure to BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.

Programming/Scripting:

Proficiency in at least one language (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript) used in test automation.

Writing reusable functions, managing locators, and using loops/conditions effectively.

Version Control:Basic experience with Git and platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

CI/CD Integration:

Exposure to tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions for running automation suites.

Web Technologies:

Understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, and XPath/CSS Selectors.

API Testing:

Familiarity with tools like Postman or RestAssured.

Ability to validate responses, headers, and JSON/XML payloads.

Testing Knowledge

Manual Testing Fundamentals:

Strong grasp of STLC, SDLC, and bug life cycle.

Ability to write and execute test cases, and report bugs effectively.

Automation Framework Concepts:

Understanding of data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid frameworks.

Ability to maintain and update automation scripts.

Tools & Platforms

Test Management Tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.

Experience in running tests across browsers/devices using BrowserStack or Sauce Labs (optional but good to have)
