Software Tester

Overview

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure our software products meet quality standards and user requirements before release.

Key Responsibilities:

*Test Planning & Design

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications
Design both manual and automated testing strategies for web application and hardware firmware
Create detailed test documentation including test scenarios, expected results, and acceptance criteria

*Test Execution & Quality Assurance

Execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
Conduct usability testing to ensure optimal user experience

*Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with development teams and business analysts to understand requirements
Provide clear and detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity assessments
Communicate testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders

*Process Improvement

Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies
Recommend and implement testing tools and frameworks
Contribute to the development of quality standards and guidelines

Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
6 months - 1 year of experience in software testing or quality assurance
Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches

Technical Skills

Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira)
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
Knowledge of programming languages (Python, or JavaScript preferred)
Understanding of API testing tools (Postman)
Familiarity with database testing and SQL queries

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

• Vyttila, Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
