Job title:

Software tester (Manual and Automation)

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Test Case Creation: Develop detailed test cases based on software requirements and specifications.

Test Execution: Manually execute test cases to identify defects and ensure software functionality.

Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and report defects using established defect tracking systems.

Regression Testing: Conduct regular regression tests to ensure that new code changes do not impact existing functionality.

Exploratory Testing: Perform exploratory testing to uncover defects that scripted tests might miss.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test plans and test results.

Test Data Preparation: Create or manipulate test data to simulate various scenarios and use cases.

Bug Verification: Verify and validate that reported defects have been resolved before closing them.

Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other team members to ensure quality.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in software testing (manual & automation).
• Proficiency in automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of test methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of databases and SQL queries for data validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
