We are looking for a skilled Automation (DevOps) Tester with a strong background in test automation, CI/CD integration, and DevOps tools. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about improving product quality through automation, continuous testing, and collaboration across development and operations teams.

Role Overview

As an Automation (DevOps) Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks to ensure product quality and reliability. Youll work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to integrate testing into the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, ensuring faster and more stable releases.

This position requires hands-on experience with Python (Robot Framework), automation tools, API testing, and DevOps environments.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Framework Development :

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  
  

API & UI Testing

• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI, and UI testing using Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
  
  

Continuous Testing Integration

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  
  

Manual Testing & Validation

• Conduct manual testing for complex or exploratory scenarios that require human validation.
  
  

Defect Tracking & Reporting

• Log and manage defects using issue tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla, and provide detailed defect reports and metrics to stakeholders.
  
  

Performance & Load Testing

• Execute performance, stress, and load testing using tools such as JMeter, Postman, or LoadRunner (preferred).
  
  

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA leads to understand requirements, create test plans, and document automation processes.
  
  

Quality Assurance

• Ensure adherence to software quality standards and best practices across all testing phases.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing coverage, and CI/CD processes to enhance product delivery speed and reliability.
  
  

Key Requirements

Education :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  
  

Experience

• 3 to 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or DevOps Testing.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python (mandatory) with hands-on experience using Robot Framework.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Appium.
• Solid understanding of API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of DevOps principles, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated validation.
  
  

Testing Tools & Platforms

• Familiarity with bug tracking and issue management tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
  
  

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  
  

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Postman).
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Certification in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB) or proven understanding of testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Familiarity with container orchestration and microservices testing strategies.
