Role Purpose

Accelya IT is undertaking a digital transformation, moving from manual to automated, on-premises to cloud, project to product, Waterfall to Agile. As part of our evolution we are adopting more modern practices like Kanban and Scrum and we need experienced practitioners to guide us.

This is an opportunity to help guide an organisation on its journey to delivering higher quality solutions, more quickly and with less effort.

We are looking for someone with the capabilities and desire to inspire, motivate and organise Scrum and Kanban teams, whether they are an established, high-velocity team, or one that is conducting its first sprint. You will need to be comfortable overcoming confusion and resistance as each team, and the wider organisation, evolves.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Evangelising the benefits of Scrum, Kanban and Agile across Accelya
• Helping teams understand Scrum, Kanban and Agile concepts and helping overcome any doubts, confusion or resistance to change
• Identifying new ideas and methods and introducing them to teams to help increase quality, velocity and autonomy
• Guiding teams in self-organisation and cross-functionality
• Coaching other Scrum Masters, Agile coordinators and Product Owners
• Conducting Scrum ceremonies
• Helping eradicate blockers and impediments
• Designing metrics to measure the success, or failure, of teams and to identify course corrections
• Promoting healthy team dynamics and Psychological Safety
• Championing continual service improvement
  
  

• Experience of building and developing several Scrum teams, achieving high velocity and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Sufficient understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban, to coach and mentor others in these practices
• Experience of scaling Scrum across small to medium organisations would be advantageous
• Working knowledge of agile management tools like Azure Devops, JIRA, etc
• A technical background and/or experience as a software developer
• Exposure to modern software and/or infrastructure-as-code development practices such as DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, test driven development
• Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and influencing others
• An inquisitive and innovative mind, finding new ways to make Accelya better
