We are looking for professionals with hands-on experience in Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) to help us design, integrate, and scale bill payment services across categories and participants.

We are looking for professionals with hands-on experience in Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) to help us design, integrate, and scale bill payment services across categories and participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the integration and onboarding of billers and agents within the BBPS ecosystem (BBPOU, BBPS Central Unit, Biller Operating Units).
- Work with NPCI and partner banks to ensure compliance with BBPS guidelines, settlement processes, and dispute management frameworks.
- Develop and manage API integrations with BBPS platforms (fetch, payment, confirmation, complaint, reversal APIs).
- Handle transaction lifecycle management-from bill fetch to payment confirmation to settlement.
- Maintain reconciliation and settlement reports, ensuring accuracy between internal and BBPS systems.
- Work with internal tech teams to define product requirements for BBPS-enabled services, such as recurring payments, category expansion (utilities, loan EMIs, education, insurance, etc.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to RBI and NPCI regulations.
- Drive new product initiatives leveraging the BBPS framework, including cross-border bill payments, credit-linked payments, or embedded finance solutions.
- 2-6 years of experience in the payments domain, specifically in BBPS, UPI, or API-based banking integrations.
- Strong understanding of BBPS architecture, including roles of CU, BOUs, AOUs, and BBPOUs.
- Familiarity with NPCI APIs, transaction flow, and message formats (ISO 20022 / JSON).
- Experience with payment gateway or aggregator platforms (e. , Razorpay, Paytm, NPCI interfaces).
- Knowledge of reconciliation, settlement, and dispute management processes under BBPS.
- Hands-on experience in RESTful APIs, Postman, Swagger, or API documentation.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities (banks, NPCI, internal teams)
