Join Shipco IT as an Associate – Application Developer

As an Application Developer, you’ll help build and enhance applications that power these operations, combining strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and creativity to deliver high-quality software used across multiple regions.

What You'll Do…
- Build and Enhance Business-Critical Applications: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using .NET Framework MVC and .NET Core microservices, with selective use of SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) to support business workflows and integrations.
- Collaborate with a Dynamic Team: Work closely with cross-functional experts to deliver innovative solutions and expand your technical expertise.
- Contribute Across the Software Lifecycle: Engage in planning, development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of applications.
- Analyze and Design Solutions: Evaluate requirements, identify challenges, and deliver scalable, well-documented system solutions.
- Stay Current with Technologies: Explore the latest tools, frameworks, and industry trends to keep solutions innovative and efficient.
- Ensure Code Quality, Performance, and Reliability: Drive testing, optimization, and code reviews to uphold high standards, enforce coding best practices, and continuously improve application stability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and Optimize Production Systems: Proactively identify, debug, and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks to ensure stable, reliable operation of business-critical applications.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, supported by relevant certifications in .NET development, Microsoft SQL Server, or front-end technologies, and experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using the .NET Framework MVC and .NET Core microservices, including proven success in migrating and modernizing legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET Core MVC.
- Strong ability to implement scalable, maintainable microservices using .NET Core, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions, coupled with deep experience using Entity Framework and writing LINQ queries.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with related libraries or frameworks, to deliver responsive, dynamic user interfaces and end-to-end solutions, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Apps for low-code application development, Power Automate (Microsoft Flow) for workflow automation, and SharePoint customization and integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively, conduct peer code reviews, and apply coding standards and best practices while working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with a commitment to staying up to date with emerging tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, strong attention to detail, adaptability to changing requirements, and well-developed organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
