About You

• Education :
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in cloud technologies, IT support, or technical support roles.
• Extensive experience with GCP services, such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, VPC, and Kubernetes Engine.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced understanding of GCP services and cloud architecture.
• Expertise in troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimizing cloud resources.
• Familiarity with GCP CLI, Terraform, and Cloud SDK.
• Communication:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with users, clients, and internal teams.
• Ability to create clear documentation and reports.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Certifications:
• Google Cloud Certified: Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Network Engineer (or similar certifications).
  
  

What You ‘ll Do

• Design, provision, configure, and maintain databases using:
• Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
• Cloud Spanner (globally-distributed relational database)
• Firestore (NoSQL document database)
• BigQuery (serverless data warehouse for analytics)
• Cloud Bigtable (wide-column NoSQL database for large workloads)
• Plan and execute indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
• Automate database operations including backup, restore, failover, and patching using native GCP tools and scripts.
• Implement multi-region replication, read replicas, and high availability setups.
  
  

Operational Excellence

• Monitor database health using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Alerting.
• Optimize storage and query performance, especially for analytics workloads in BigQuery.
• Establish and enforce database governance, retention policies, and access control using IAM and VPC Service Controls.
  
  

hands-on experience with GCP, especially Cloud SQL and BigQuery.

• Good communication and willingness to learn new cloud technologies.
