Job Description

As an Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data solutions on the Azure platform. Here are some common use cases and examples of tasks performed by Azure Data Engineers:

Data Ingestion & Integration: Use tools like Azure Data Factory to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from sources such as databases, files, APIs, and streams into Azure.

Data Transformation & Processing: Prepare data for analysis using platforms like Azure Databricks or Synapse Analytics with Apache Spark.

Data Storage & Management: Choose appropriate storage solutions—Azure SQL Database or Cosmos DB for structured data, Data Lake Storage for big data, and Blob Storage for files.

Data Warehousing: Implement scalable analytics with Azure Synapse Analytics for large datasets.

Data Modeling & Analysis: Collaborate on data models using Azure Analysis Services or Databricks to support analytics.

Real-time Processing: Use Azure Stream Analytics to process and analyze live data from sources like IoT or social media.

Governance & Security: Ensure data security and compliance through access controls, encryption, monitoring, and retention policies.
