Job Description

As an Operations Engineer , you will ensure stability and efficiency across clients digital platforms by managing incidents, service requests, and monitoring activities while continuously improving operational processes. You will leverage runbooks, Python automation, and cloud technologies to streamline workflows, enhance reliability, and proactively resolve recurring issues. The role requires a process-driven mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Incident & Service Request Handling: Manage incidents and requests within SLAs, ensuring timely resolution, escalation, and communication.
• Troubleshooting & RCA: Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent, automated solutions.
• Automation Development: Build Python scripts and tools to automate repetitive operational tasks and workflows.
• Monitoring & Alert Response: Act on alerts, improve observability, and automate recurring event handling.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Automation: Support AWS operations using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Collaboration: Work with engineering and support teams to ensure effective knowledge sharing and operational improvements.
  
  

Education & Experience

• University degree in Information technology, engineering or equivalent
• Overall : 3–4 years in operations engineering, DevOps, or automation-heavy Ops roles.
• Python Development & Automation : At least 2–3 years hands-on.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Automation : 2+ years with AWS and IaC tools.
  
  

Mandatory Skills

• Incident & Service Request Resolution : Proven experience handling incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
• Runbook Execution & Enhancement : Ability to execute, update, and improve runbooks with automation in mind.
• Python Development (Required) : Strong coding skills in Python to build automation scripts, tools, or pipelines.
• Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis : Strong analytical skills with a focus on robust, automated solutions.
• Monitoring & Alert Response : Experience with monitoring/observability tools and creating automated responses for recurring alerts.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Automation : Hands-on experience with AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
• Soft Skills : Ownership mindset, proactive problem-solving, effective communication with cross-functional teams.
  
  

Nice To Have

• Additional Scripting Languages : Familiarity with Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
• Tooling & Framework Development : Experience building internal utilities, libraries, or frameworks to reduce manual work.
• ServiceNow / ITSM Tools : Exposure to ITSM processes and tools for incident/request handling.
• Broader Cloud Exposure : Knowledge of other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Automation Frameworks : Familiarity with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for Ops automation.
• ITIL Awareness : Understanding of ITIL practices for structured incident and problem management.
