Sr. Python Developer

Overview

As a Telegram Python Bot Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Telegram bots using Python. You will collaborate closely with the product and design teams to deliver high-quality and user-friendly bots that meet the needs of our users.

You will work on creating bots that can perform various tasks such as customer support, automation, notification services, and data collection. Your primary role will involve using the Telegram Bot API and Python to ensure seamless integration, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Telegram bots using the python-telegram-bot library or other relevant frameworks.
• Design and implement features that provide an engaging user experience (e.g., buttons, inline keyboards, etc.).
• Integrate bots with external APIs and databases for data retrieval and processing.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs reported by users or testers.
• Optimize bot performance and response times.
• Ensure the bots are secure and protect user data and privacy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the bots into the overall platform.
• Monitor bot performance and usage and analyze feedback to improve features and functionality.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in bot development and Telegram API changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Python and developing web-based applications.
• Proven experience with the Telegram Bot API and libraries like python-telegram-bot or telepot.
• Knowledge of APIs, including working with third-party services to integrate into Telegram bots.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming (asyncio).
• Familiarity with JSON, HTTP requests, and webhooks.
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) for storing bot data.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Docker or containerization tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Understanding of web scraping, natural language processing (NLP), or other advanced bot functionalities.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Heroku for deployment.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience in developing Telegram bots or other chatbot development projects.
