Overview

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer specializing in backend and platform development to design, build, and optimize scalable AI-driven systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Python, cloud-native services, and machine learning to architect robust backend solutions and intelligent platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced AI models, automate workflows, and deliver high-impact solutions that drive business value and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems for AI-powered applications using Python and cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
  • Design and implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to enable seamless integration between AI agents, enterprise systems, and external tools
  • Design and implement APIs and microservices to support machine learning workflows, real-time inference, and data integration.
  • Integrate machine learning and generative AI models (LLMs, multimodal models) into backend services and business applications.
  • Explore and create POC of AI/ML technologies and frameworks
  • Setting up best practices for coding standards w.r.t. AI/ML applications
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and event-driven architectures to enable seamless data flow and model training.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts for model lifecycle management, monitoring, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams to deploy, monitor, and optimize AI models in production environments.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of backend services and AI platforms.
  • Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies to drive innovation and improve system performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience with 2+ years of relevant experience building conversational AI systems, chatbots, LLM applications, or other advanced machine learning/artificial intelligence solutions to drive business impact
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for backend and AI development.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience building APIs and microservices (FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks).
  • Familiarity with data pipeline architectures, ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Azure DevOps, AWS DevOps, or similar).
  • Working experience in some of the following areas:
  • - Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI
  • - Conversational AI, chatbot development, and dialogue systems
  • - Search and Recommendation systems
  • - Prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, and model optimization
  • - AI agent architectures and orchestration
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, SageMaker, Bedrock) and workflow orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Prefect).
  • Hands-on experience integrating generative AI and conversational AI interfaces.
  • Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Machine Learning Specialty).
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
