Roles and Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will
- Lead and coordinate technical and business discussions on protocol architecture across the product line.
- Define and evolve architecture roadmaps for C++-based protocol stacks, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Analyze current vs. future state architectures and drive implementation strategies aligned with product goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reusable, modular components and ensure seamless integration.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to guide protocol innovation and system optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM field with significant experience in C++ and protocol development.
- Deep expertise in C++ design patterns, multithreading, and low-level networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, custom stacks).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, containerization (Kubernetes), and API-driven architecture.
- Proven ability to lead architectural governance, influence stakeholders, and align technical solutions with business outcomes.
Technical Expertise
- Deep expertise in C++ with strong understanding of protocol stack development, including custom and standard networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP).
- Proven experience in designing scalable, modular architectures for high-performance, low-latency systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and DevOps practices for embedded and systems-level software.
- Strong grasp of API design principles and inter-process communication mechanisms relevant to protocol development.
- Ability to analyze, design, and evolve software architecture roadmaps aligned with current and future product needs.
- Experience with configuration management, performance tuning, and cost-effective solution design in complex systems.
- Skilled in evaluating and integrating emerging technologies to enhance protocol capabilities and system resilience.
- Adept at navigating cross-functional teams and organizational structures to drive architectural alignment.
- Capable of translating technical solutions into business value and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Experienced in customer engagement, understanding business models, and guiding technical strategy to meet enterprise goals.
- Proficient in presenting architectural concepts and decisions using storytelling and visualization techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to lead blended teams, including internal developers, third-party vendors, and customer stakeholders.
- Skilled in change management, driving adoption of new technologies and architectural practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and problem-solving orientation.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction and build consensus across diverse teams and leadership levels.
