At Visa, the Finance Technology organization enables Visa's revenue growth through flexible rule-based pricing engines and global revenue platforms built on next-generation technologies. This includes managing system requirements, evaluating cutting-edge technologies, design, development, integration, quality assurance, implementation, and maintenance of corporate revenue applications.

The candidate will work as Full‑Stack Developer & GenAI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications enhanced with modern Generative AI capabilities. This role requires strong full‑stack engineering expertise along with deep, hands‑on experience in LLM frameworks, orchestration tools, prompt engineering, and agent-based architectures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Finance business function. The candidate should enjoy working on diverse technologies and should be excited to take initiatives to solve complex business problems and get the job done while taking on new challenges. Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain full‑stack applications using a range of front‑end and back‑end technologies.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including version control, build processes, testing, deployment, and release management.
• Apply at least 2+ years of hands‑on experience in Generative AI, including LLM model development, fine‑tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation workflows, and GenAI ecosystem tools.
• Design and implement LLM‑powered applications, AI agents, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI features—from concept, design, and architecture to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Integrate AI components and agents with internal/external APIs, business systems, and data sources.
• Develop GenAI workflows such as retrieval pipelines, RAG systems, orchestration graphs, and agent-based architectures.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices for building AI‑enabled applications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, conduct Proofs of Concept (POCs), and independently drive solution delivery in an agile environment.
• Write and maintain automated test cases (e.g., JUnit) to ensure application quality and stability.
• Support, optimize, and enhance applications after deployment.
• Build systems with high scalability, resiliency, observability, and strong monitoring practices.
• Work with limited direction in complex environments, consistently meeting service levels and delivery commitments.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with team members, business partners, and technology stakeholders through collaboration, communication, and accountability.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Over 5 years of experience in application development with strong expertise in both front end frameworks and back end processes, including at least 2 years focused on building AI/ML powered applications.

Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or other Engineering discipline.

Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.

Proficient in Web Services/API Development using REST and JSON.

Proficiency in core Java, scripting, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Python.

Knowledgeable in the use of database technologies such as MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

Build and optimize GenAI workflows, including retrieval pipelines, agents, and LLM-based systems.

Develop tools and features using LangChain, LangGraph, and other orchestration frameworks.

Build and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers for interoperability and tool integrations.

Integrate and fine-tune LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Google, etc.) for custom business use cases.

Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems with vector databases.

Create robust backend services, APIs, and microservices using Python/Node.js.

Deploy scalable applications on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Ensure application reliability, security, testing, and CI/CD.

Work closely with data teams, product teams, and DevOps to deliver end to end GenAI solutions.

Proficient with GIT/Stash, Maven, Jenkins, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good problem-solving ability.

Enjoy working fast and smart, and able to grasp complex concepts to build algorithms from scratch.

Proficiency with Agile Development Techniques.

Ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs.
