Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of software applications, emphasizing DevOps principles, robust backend (Python, PostgreSQL) and engaging frontend (React) development. Drive the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Docker, Linux) and ensure resilient network architectures (VLAN, ARP proficiency). Lead and consult on complex technical projects requiring deep expertise in full-stack development, automation, and network operations. Contribute significantly to building scalable, service-oriented platforms with reusable components, with opportunities to leverage Ansible/AWX, AWS, OpenTofu, Kubernetes, or Golang.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the design and development of full-stack applications, focusing on Python for backend services, React for frontend interfaces, and ORM with PostgreSQL/MySQL for data persistence.
• Architect, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Docker, and Linux environments to automate software delivery and ensure high availability
• Champion DevOps methodologies and best practices across teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Python (e.g., with asynchronous frameworks) and design intuitive, responsive user interfaces with React.
• Oversee containerization strategies using Docker and manage deployments, ensuring network configurations (VLANs, ARP, routing, firewalls) support application needs effectively.
• Optionally, contribute to infrastructure automation with Ansible, manage cloud services on AWS and Kubernetes, and implement infrastructure as code with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Lead the research and adoption of emerging technologies in full-stack development (Python, React), DevOps, CI/CD, and networking to enhance our technical capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers on Python, ORM, React, modern DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, Docker, and Linux systems.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
• Drive the development of Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) using modern technologies and robust design patterns for scalable, enterprise-class applications.
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of applications and infrastructure through proactive design, implementation, and monitoring.
• Contribute to the creation of service-oriented software platforms with reusable backend and frontend components.
• Utilize your network savvy to design, troubleshoot, and optimize application connectivity and communication across various network segments and architectures.
• Experience with Golang for specific microservices or performance-critical components is considered a valuable asset.
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query performance tuning, and ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Foster strong peer and cross-functional relationships to maximize best practice sharing, team effectiveness, and streamline development and operational workflows.
• Participate in strategic planning for technology roadmaps, focusing on DevOps transformation, full-stack application architecture, and evolving infrastructure needs.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with significant experience with minimum years of experience 8 years

• Participates in domain technical and business discussions relative to future design direction aligning with business goals.
• Gathers and analyzes data, develop design for the requirements at project level, aligning design requirements with software development strategy.
• Reviews exceptions and makes recommendations to the standards at a domain level.
• Demonstrate knowledge of business' structure (P&Ls) and the interplay of functions to support business goals; demonstrate knowledge of the business products, key processes, suppliers, customers and market/competitors.
• Collaborates with project management on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits.

• Create, analyze and manage projects that provide direct business benefit; demonstrate detailed knowledge of business operations and strategic direction, including merger & acquisition opportunities; understand industry trends and competitive landscape and the implications for your business; partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs.

• Recommends allocation of budget to meet product initiatives critical to business/mission success. Develops the business case for approval.
• Provides leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout their domain. Define the skills, competencies in the skills and talents for the team members.
• Facilitates dialogues that produce new perspectives and trigger recommendations for substantial innovative / enhancements, and analysis of consequences.
• Influences through others. Uses experts or other third parties to influence. Builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas, uses chains of indirect influence.
