Job Description Summary
As Staff Software Engineer for VNA, you will be responsible for developing in-depth knowledge of the Enterprise Imaging Product and contributing to end-to-end software development and investigating customer site issues for the Enterprise Imaging product. The position requires strong experience in Enterprise Application Software development & debugging, using acquired technical expertise and product knowledge to lead investigations, perform risk assessment, recommend approaches for problem solving to meet business requirements and customer expectations. Formulate and implement plans for problem solving. Organize the brainstorming, recommend approaches, and develop action plans to solve the critical IB technical issue and program requirements.

Responsible for debugging & investigating early adopter site issues & providing workarounds to unblock customer workflows. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across the business. You will also contribute to design & product roadmap discussions as in when needed.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Represent Enterprise Archive Software Design team, Lead the development and flow-down of system requirements, architecture and system-level design, risk assessments, cybersecurity evaluations, integration and testing strategies, and support for manufacturing, field operations, and customer service—including corrective and preventive actions to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to product strategy by influencing architectural decisions and designing robust solutions to address complex customer challenges.
  • Manage high-priority customer escalations, acting as the primary technical point of contact. Analyze and resolve critical software issues, delivering timely and effective workarounds to minimize customer impact.
  • Independently debug and troubleshoot complex software problems using advanced tools such as WinDbg, Visual Studio crash dump, Event Viewer, and performance profilers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to identify root causes and drive long-term, sustainable fixes.
  • Provide hands-on support to early adopter customers, ensuring smooth onboarding, rapid issue resolution, and a positive user experience.
  • Gather and document customer feedback and insights to inform product improvements and enhance overall stability and usability.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and leadership, providing clear updates on the status of critical issues and escalations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps, interim solutions, and final resolutions to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 14 years of professional experience in Software Development, or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience in Software Development

  • Technical expertise in System Software Design, Data Structures, and Software

  • Reliability and Distributed System Architecture

  • Experience in developing Enterprise applications.

  • Hands-on experience in .NET, C++/C#, MySQL, SQL Server, RESTful API's, RabbitMQ, WCF.

  • Experience with IDE debuggers, logging tools, and monitoring systems for inspecting code, tracking down errors, and understanding system behavior.

  • Experience in recommending approaches and developing action plans to solve the critical IB technical issues and program requirements.

  • Experience with public cloud infrastructures such as AWS or Azure (Services: Compute, Storage, Database, Load Balance, Elastic Designs, Analytics, Web Services, Messaging)

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. A big part of this job is communicating effectively with other development cross functional teams in a global environment

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Owing and driving the Product Investigation & CAPA.

  • Experience in collaborating with product development core team members (Engineering/QA/RA/Service/Leadership).

Technical Expertise:

  • Expertise in design and development of cloud solutions.

  • Strong debugging and unit testing skills using a well-known and accepted unit testing framework

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools and CI/CT/CD processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions

  • Experience in medical imaging & Healthcare standards HL7/DICOM/IHE

  • Experience in identifying the specific code or component that is causing the issue.

  • Experience in developing system level requirements, customer flow-down requirements, System thinking and working in enterprise systems.

  • Owing the NC/INVCAPA and deliver it independently (with less team support)

  • Providing status updates to leadership and collaborating with program NC/INV/CAPA stakeholders and drive to closure. And demonstrate the effective communication skill.

  • Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments

  • Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems

  • Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks

  • Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective

  • Has the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary

  • Voices opinions and presents a clear rationale. Uses data or factual evidence to influence decisions

  • Skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members. Shows ability to effectively delegate work.
