Skills and Competencies

8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering impactful, multi-team technical projects.

Proficiency in Java and C#/.Net programming languages.

Experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server), Columnar data storage and NoSQL data stores at scale.

Expertise in developing production-grade RESTful APIs and microservices.

Familiarity with cloud-native applications using Docker & Kubernetes, as well as on-premise solutions.

Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.

Solid grasp of software design principles, architectural best practices, and writing well-tested, high-quality code.

Advanced knowledge of multi-threading, memory management, and query processing.

Passion for ensuring application scalability, availability, reliability, security, and cost-effective execution.

Resilience and adaptability in navigating organizational and technical change.

Deep knowledge of testing strategies and system health maintenance for complex systems.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

Define and execute multi-year, multi-team technical strategies with measurable business impact.

Deliver large-scale, high-stakes projects while managing complexity and ambiguity.

Drive alignment across teams and the broader organization to prioritize customer-centric outcomes.

Exercise sounds technical judgment to influence roadmaps and strategic decisions.

Mentor engineers across teams, fostering a growth mindset and technical excellence.

Build and maintain robust software architectures with scalability and flexibility for evolving use cases.

Act as a role model by demonstrating collaboration, innovation, and Moody’s core values.

Lead change management initiatives and embrace ambiguity to drive innovation.

Create and implement solutions that balance short-term needs with long-term organizational goals.

Engage in both technical and non-technical decision-making, achieving consensus across diverse viewpoints.

Anticipate and address technical challenges while proactively managing risks.

Develop and communicate clear technical narratives to influence stakeholders.

Partner with product teams to align technical trade-offs with customer value.

Lead technical discussions, reviews, and documentation to ensure design quality and strategic alignment.
