Our Risk Product Development team is seeking a self-motivated and hard-working Full Stack Software Engineer. In this agile and lively environment, you will collaborate with competent peers from different regions to develop pioneering risk products. Your focus will be on problem-solving and engineering excellence as you develop high-performant and scalable solutions which will drive risk, trust & safety and compliance management for buyers and sellers doing business with eBay Marketplace.
What you will accomplish:
Develop high-performing solutions that align with eBay's business and technology strategies to enhance risk management, trust, and compliance..
Research, analyze, design, develop and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and project-related team meetings, impacting significantly to the development process.
Collaborate optimally within a multi-functional team comprising of engineers, architects, product managers, and operations, to deliver innovative solutions to address business needs, performance, scale, and reliability.
Acquire domain expertise and apply this knowledge to tackle product challenges, ensuring continuous improvement in the domain.
Act as an onboarding buddy for new joiners, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
What you will bring:
At least 8 years of software design and development experience with proven foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, distributed computing and scalable software design
Hands on expertise with architectural and design patterns, open source platforms & frameworks, technologies and software engineering methodologies.
Hands-on experience in developing applications with Spring/Spring Boot, Rest, GraphQl, Java, JEE, Spring batch.
Hands-on experience with building data models in Oracle/MySql/RDBMS and NoSql databases e.g key value store, document store like Mongo, Couchbase, Cassandra.
Hands-on Experience in building tools and User experience using Html, Node.js, ReactJs, Arco design, Material design.
Hands on experience in finetuning performance bottlenecks of java, node.js, javascript.
Proficiency in data & streaming technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, apache Flink etc.
Experience in using source control systems such as Git, issue tracking systems like JIRA.
Practiced with agile development and ability to adapt changes with business priorities.
Experience with building sophisticated integration solutions for internet scale traffic is a major plus.
Risk domain, rule engine expertise is a major plus.
Excellent with decision-making, communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI tools is a major plus.
Experience with Prometheus, OLAP and Devops tools for monitoring and alerting.
