Staff Software Engineer in Test

Job Overview

The Software (CE-SW) group is responsible for developing and improving the software and Firmware ecosystem around Arm's next generation Solutions. This means working with processors and other hardware technology not yet available to the public. You will join a team of Software Engineers who share a passion for leaving their mark on the future of computing. Arm is seeking skilled, experienced, and highly motivated Software QA expert to join our Software Engineering group.

Roles And Responsibilities

You will be responsible for driving productization team test and integrations solutions to deliver production quality firmware together with established teams working on ARM solutions. Developing test cases and test environments for validating firmware to both Arm internal and customer specified test specifications across various test categories. You will define entry and exit criteria for the firmware releases in alignment with partner teams. Ensure maximum validation coverage to different features, firmware flows by covering Basic acceptance criteria, functional, non-functional, stress testing.

Required Skills And Experience

• Proven 10+ years of experience Software/System testing for Firmware, Integration of SW, and SW bring up with various test environments like Simulation, Emulation, FPGA based, Board farm etc. Also hands on experience in automation of tests and software releases.
• Hands on experience in end to end software verification and validation of firmware development for automotive compute sub system or full system (pre-silicon and post-silicon)
• Experience in firmware software development and validation of BOOT, RSE, TF-A, Xen, Zephyr etc.. with Linux based environments.
• Proficient with C, C++, Python, Bash/Shell scripts, Git, Pytest, Gitlab/Github, Virtualization SW, API and version control scripting
• We look for passionate test leader who enjoys leading and testing topics and present defects comfortably
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and spoken English.

• Good understanding of computer architecture, micro architecture concepts – ideally Arm architecture.
• Highly skilled in debugging, with the ability to navigate complex software stacks and deliver effective solutions. Adaptable to different roles and responsibilities throughout the productization journey
• Leading team technically to achieve project milestones by taking ownership in evolving scenarios!
