Staff Software Engineer, Local Search Ads Quality

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, developing large software systems, or security software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop a roadmap and next-gen algorithms, models to improve local search ad quality and coverage, supporting the growth of local search ads.
• Work on technical projects, including ads, image/video quality modeling, Large Language Model, quality experimentation, logs analysis, and production stability.
• Gain understanding of the user and advertiser needs on local queries and local ads products.
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical leadership for a team of Software Engineers.
• Build a technical culture in the team with a focus on Engineering excellence and product and system health.
