Staff Specialist /Data Analyst

We are looking for a data analyst who would be able to Identify and prioritize business requirements scope and also Write, interpret, and optimize complex queries across disparate data sources using SQL

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Identify and prioritize business requirements scope
• Write, interpret, and optimize complex queries across disparate data sources using SQL
• Collaborate with stakeholders to know the business problem and design data solutions that provide insight, including building dashboards, presentations and adhoc recommendations
• Perform technical data analysis and create datasets that describe business questions/processes
• Analyze operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),trend to identify cause-and-effect relationships between key business drivers
• Develop case and articulate potential impact of the solution to the business providing clarification of the enabling solutions and reports
• Perform statistical analysis on various data sets to deriveactionable insights to improve business
• Manage data synchronization and transfer of internal databases
• Translating data into useful insights to drive and solve criticalbusiness and inform operational decisions.
• Ensure data integrity for reporting
• Work closely with data engineers and develop skills to build datapipelines for analysis
• Automate and improve data quality and bring productivity to workflowsrelated to data
• Build reports and dashboards to efficiently provide visibility on key metrics
  
  

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Degree/master's in computer science, Mathematics or Statistics major
• Relevant applied work experience in quantitative analysis of at least 5-8 years
• Ability to work with large amounts of data from disparate sources: collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and synthesizing
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience and in-depth technical knowledge of SQL programming
• Hands-on experience with a self-serve BI tool (preferably using Tableau)
• Experience with extracting and modeling datasets with database queries and environment (Hadoop/Spark)
• Experience with programming languages (e.g. PySpark mandatory,Python, Java)
• Experience in managing agile implementation cycles and rollouts
• Self-motivated, proactive, get-things-done team member who lives to improve data quality and drive results
