Overview
Tasks
- Execution of large technical projects within budget and quality goals according to Nordex IT PMO standards.
- Securing correct project handling, setting up successful team and leading team members from various IT departments such as Global Digital Solutions, Global ERP, IT Systems and Infrastructure and Global IT Demand Management and Governance.
- Special focus on project management and communication tasks such as task planning, resource planning, budget control, project reporting and risk management.
- Close collaboration with IT Demand Management team to ensure a proper transition between Demand and Project Execution phase.
- Conduct technical discussions with IT colleagues in case of need and drive root cause analysis collaboratively to solve project issues on time.
- Management and coordination of internal and external IT resources, as part of the project team. For external resources, ensuring a proper time tracking and invoices approval according to project deliverables will be a must.
- Ensure transparency and proper communication channels with internal or external project stakeholders.
- Work within Nordex processes to manage and report progress on projects with a regular status report as per IT PMO and Nordex Operations standards.
- Facilitate a smooth handover to colleagues at IT Operations and Maintenance teams
- Represent Nordex ITO organization to our global clients, both internal and external ones.
- Technical background with a Master’s degree in engineering
- More than 5 years of experience in a Project Manager role or above (preferably in the IT sector)
- Several years of work experience in comparable positions in worldwide organizations working on turnkey and/or time&material projects.
- Fluency in English is highly required, and knowledge of other languages such as German or Spanish is an added value.
- Ability to work in different business cultures and with multitask teams. Team player attitude is a must.
- Self-responsible, structured and solution-oriented working
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Certifications in some Project Management and Processes frameworks is a must too (Prince 2, PMP, Agile Methodologies, ITIL, others).
- Advance skills in MS Office landscape and other Project Management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Willingness to go on business trips from time to time
